As a contribution to improve competitiveness , Ecuador ranks sixth within the region in public service efficiency, according to the report by the Inter-American Development Bank.

Ecuador climbed 15 positions for two consecutive years, being the country that rose the highest number of positions in the Global Competitiveness Report (2013-2014) by the World Economic Forum.
