In the twenty-ninth edition of the “World Travel Awards 2022” Ecuador was ratified for the seventh year as the Leading Green Destination in South America, while the Main Port was recognized as the Leading Urban Getaway Destination in South America and the Leading Destination for Meetings and Conferences in South America.
In the ranking of the “Forbes Magazine – 2022”, Ecuador is located within the 50 most beautiful countries in the world, ranking eleventh globally and third in Latin America.
For the seventh consecutive year, Quito's Mariscal Sucre International Airport received recognition as the best Regional Airport in South America, and was also awarded in the category of Best Airport Personnel in South America at the “World Airport Awards – marzo 2022”.
